Happy Birthday. 🎂

You are so far away right now. We know that. We feel that. There is a quietness in this house that was not here before you left — and we have both learned to live with it, because we know you are at your campus. You are becoming something. A doctor, inshallah. And that fills us with a pride. 

MBBS is not easy. Anyone who has done it will tell you — it is years of your life. It is nights without sleep, mornings with books, and days when you wonder if you can keep going. And you are doing all of that — alone, away from your family, in a city that is not home. That takes something most people do not have.

What moves our hearts the most — and we have talked about this many times — is that you still call. You always call. You ask if we are eating properly, if Pappa's femur bone is okay, if we need anything. You are the one who is far, you are the one who is studying, and yet you are still looking after us. That is not something we take lightly. That is who you are, Naureen. That is your character.

May Allah keep you safe and well, always.

May He make every exam easy, every lesson clear.

May He give you peace on the hard days.

May He bring you home to us soon — smiling, successful, and whole.

  Ameen! 

Today, please do one thing for us — enjoy your day. Eat something nice. Without bothering your pending Items Or your viva. I am sure, there is cake, eat the cake. Rest a little if you can. I know that  still you will concentrate on your routine Items. You work so hard every other day of the year. 

Today,  even I  the evening, just enjoy your Day for a few hours.

We are always with you. No matter the miles. No matter the time zone. When you are tired, we are there. When you are proud of yourself, we are proud louder. And when you finally walk out of that examination hall as a doctor — we will be the ones crying in the back of the room Inshallah. 

We love you more than we know how to write down.
